Many barcode scanners support keyboard wedge mode, which makes the barcode scanner appear as a keyboard to Windows. This enables scanning barcodes into applications that are not barcode scanner-aware such as Notepad. When you scan a barcode in this mode, the decoded data from the barcode scanner gets inserted at your insertion point as if you typed the data using your keyboard. If you want more control over your barcode scanner from your UWP application, you will need to configure it in a non-keyboard wedge mode.

Microsoft offers Microsoft WebDriver to execute the Selenium WebDriver automation tests on the Edge browser. Additionally, the driver allows the selenium tests to communicate with the Edge browser for executing Selenium tests. Moreover, the Edge driver comes with different versions depending upon your browser version or whether your system is x86 or x64. Any version can be downloaded based on the browser version that you want to use.

Before we start to download the EdgeDriver, we will first need to check the version of the Edge browser in our system. As the EdgeDriver version depends upon the browser version, it becomes a necessity to download the compatible version of the driver. You can check the version of the Edge browser by following the steps as mentioned below:

If your scale has a USB connection then you would need to determine what connector is on the scale. The USB ports on a PC are always Type A USB ports therefore if your scale has a Type B USB port, you would need to get a USB cable that has a Type A connector on one end and a Type B connector on the other. Shown above are the most common USB ports found on most scales and balances along with pictures of the connectors that fit the ports. Important Note: If your scale has a USB connector then it should come with a device driver that you will need to install in Windows in order for the scale to show up as a standard COM port in Windows. Sometimes this device driver is supplied on a CD that comes with the scale and sometime you need to download the driver from the manufacturer's web site. If your scale has a USB connection but does not come with a driver or if you fail to install the driver, then it will not be possible to read in data from the scale using off-the-shelf software tools (like the BC-Wedge software wedge) and you will need to contact the scale's manufacturer to find out what software tools they have that you can use.

Once you know the COM port that the scale is connected to, you can download the BC-Wedge software Setup program from the TALtech.com web site using the following URL: www.taltech.com/files/demos/BC-Wedge.zip The file is a ZIP file so you will need to save it to a folder on your PC and then extract its contents using the Windows File Explorer and then run the Setup.exe program that was extracted from the ZIP file. After you install BC-Wedge, run it and select the COM port for your scale from the COM Port drop down list in the main BC-Wedge window. The BC-Wedge software was primarily designed to input data from a bar code scanner however it can also be used with most scales and balances. TALtech has a full line of Software Wedge products that have much more advanced features than what are available in the BC-Wedge program. You can learn more at: www.taltech.com/winwedge For the purpose of this tutorial, BC-Wedge should work just fine.

Potential causes for such lags depend on your computer settings, operating system, peripherals in use, and other hardware issues that pass off as keyboard problems. Another cause can be an incompatible device driver.

Slow keyboard response on Windows is a relatively common issue, and it can occur due to your drivers, so make sure you keep them up to date at all times. There is also a Bluetooth keyboard delay test that you can perform.

The RFID Connector utility for Windows allows you to wedge RFID scan data as text into any app running on the Mesa 3 or Mesa 2 with Windows. This utility supports all integrated RFID options such as the Jadak (formerly ThingMagic) Nano or Micro modules. To download and for information, please view the full article.

To update the driver, download and extract the file below, and then tap and hold on the extracted "install_cell.bat" file to "Run as administrator" on your Mesa 2 unit for updating the driver of the built-in 4G LTE cellular modem. Both extracted files must be located in the same folder before running the file.

If wanting to manually re-install the previous 5.93.102.19 driver on the Mesa 2 (and then update again if desired), tap on the file link below to download and run the installer. It has been reported that this updated version has improved tethering to some mobile hotspots.

The USB printer driver update for the Allegro 2 and Archer 2 adds better support for directly connecting PCL (3.0 or previous) compliant USB printers so they can be addressed by custom software applications on the LPT1 port. Click on the file below to download, save (do not extract), copy to the handheld, locate in File Explorer on the handheld, tap on the file to install, and then soft Reset the handheld.

The below file can be downloaded, copied to, and then run directly on an Allegro MX Field PC to set the keyboard driver at a relatively low system thread priority level. This may prevent potential interrupts from other resource intensive processes which may be running, which could potentially cause lag or dropped characters when performing rapid input through the hardware keyboard.

International AZERTY and QWERTZ virtual keyboards are available for the Mesa Rugged Notepad. To install, download then copy the below file(s) to the Mesa, and then tap on the file(s) while in File Explorer on the Mesa. The camera will work just fine for Skype, websites or any program/page that is looking for a webcam device. Please NOTE that the downloaded programs that come with the drivers for the cameras such as Logitech and Microsoft packages query the USB for the camera, so they do not work! You can test the webcam using www.test-my-cam.com

Making the Change to Windows KeyboardsActually making the switch to Windows-based keyboards is surprisingly easy. Apple has supported USB-based keyboards since it abandoned the ADB (Apple Desktop Bus) interface as the primary means of connecting keyboards and mice. Once the USB interface had rolled out to all of the Mac models, users were free to pick just about any USB-based keyboard and use it with their Macs. No special drivers or software were required, although some keyboard manufacturers did make special software for assigning keys to specific Mac functions (more on that a bit later).

Unless you have a specific need for an RF-based keyboard, I recommend using a standard USB or Bluetooth keyboard. If you must use an RF keyboard, track down the manufacturer and make sure they have a Mac version of the driver software.

If a keyboard (KBD) emulating card reader is used (and the card reader driver is Unspecified, Keyboard Emulation Card Reader) and External keyboard is allowed, then if copy screen is open, the Copies field will get populated with card data if during this time, the card is presented to the card reader. To resolve this, disable external keyboard. 2ff7e9595c
