The plot
In 1994, the Kingdom of Corea encounters a coup d'etat led by Lee Lim, who kills his brother, King Lee Ho, and tries to steal the Manpasikjeok, a mythical flute that can control time and space. However, he only manages to get half of the flute, while the other half is taken by Lee Ho's son, Lee Gon, who survives the attack. Lee Lim escapes through a mysterious door that leads him to the other world, where he begins to build his army and search for the other half of the flute.
25 years later, Lee Gon is the reigning emperor of the Kingdom of Corea, who is curious about the parallel world and the identity of the girl on the ID card he found. He crosses the portal and meets Jeong Tae-eul, a police detective in Seoul. She initially thinks he is crazy, but soon realizes that he is telling the truth. She agrees to help him find Lee Lim and stop his schemes.
As they travel back and forth between the two worlds, they discover that their fates are intertwined and that their actions have consequences on both sides. They also develop feelings for each other, despite the obstacles they face.
