Ah, He’s a Brilliant One…: How to Recognize and Appreciate Genius

I'm interested in the idea.My jacket is similar to yours. She's brilliant at maths. My neighbour is angry about the party.

Ah, He’s a Brilliant One….

Picture this: You're getting to know a guy who seems like the total package. He's brilliant and witty and has a body like a Hemsworth. But then all of a sudden, a red flag pops up that makes you reconsider the entire thing. How do you deal? That depends on how serious a red flag it really is. Does he not see the appeal of Friends, like my boyfriend? That kind of minor disagreement isn't what I'm talking about, since it just amounts to a small thing you may not have in common. But there are a few more serious red flags you should never ignore, because they tell you a lot about the dude you're with. Have you ever encountered any of these?

CLARA: One day you meet the Doctor. Andof course, it's the best day ever. It's just the best day of your life.Because, because he's brilliant, and he's funny, and mad, and best ofall, he really needs you. The trick is, don't fall in love. I do thattrick quite a lot, sometimes twice a day. And once you start running, you start to forget, slowly. After a while, you just stop asking. Whoare you? Where are you from? What set you on your way and where are yougoing? Oh, and what is your name? You get used to not knowing. Ithought I never would. I was wrong. I know who he is. I know how hebegan and I know where he's going. I know the truth about the Doctorand his greatest secret. The day we went to Trenzalore. DOCTOR: From the beginning, she was impossible. The Impossible Girl. Imet her in the Dalek Asylum. Never saw her face, and she died. I mether again in Victorian London, and she died. Saved my life both times,by giving her own. But now she's back and we're running together, andshe's perfect. Perfect in every way for me. Except she can't rememberthat we ever met. Clara. My Clara. Always brave, always funny, alwaysexactly what I need. Perfect. Too perfect. Get used to not knowing. Ithought I never would. I was wrong. I know who Clara Oswald is. I knowhow she came to be in my life, and I know what she will always mean. Ifound out the day we went to Trenzalore.

Pretty much every episode of this show is full of unforgettably funny quotes that make it a masterclass of writing comedy. Though this list was a challenge to narrow down, here are 40 quotes from The IT Crowd that are brilliant funny.

It's hard to sum up just how brilliant the writing in this show really is, but this line effectively displays The IT Crowd's humor at its best. We've all had trouble figuring out what to say at funerals, but we've never crashed and burned quite like Roy.

Of course, they wouldn't because they don't exist. When Jen is preparing for a speech to her company's shareholders, Roy and Moss decide to trick her into presenting a black box they claim contains the internet. Both men create a vast and intricate mythos surrounding the box, and it is just too brilliant.

The end game in chess, for the student of the sport, is its most intriguing aspect. The loss of pieces has destroyed the initial symmetry and created a skewed board--unfamiliar terrain in which specialized pieces are required to do jobs for which they were not designed. There is less clutter; strategy must run deeper because there are fewer alternative lines. Sacrifices may be brilliant, or they may be blunders, or only apparent blunders. Every additional move limits the options, and the prospect of defeat, swift and unforeseen, hangs over the board. That is exactly the way "Panic Room" unfolds, right down to the detail that even at the end the same rules apply, and all the choices that were made earlier limit the choices that can be made now.

A former healer who's name translates to "head of the demon", he is a criminal mastermind and leader of the League of Assassins. In most stories, Ra's' goal is to save the Earth from possible ecological devastation, often by destroying most of the planet's population or bringing the world under his control. Though brilliant master of strategy with knowledge in various fields, Ra's al Ghul's greatest asset are his Lazarus Pits, which have allowed him to live centuries and even restore himself from death.

Jeff: It means he is a charismatic speaker who has a lot of power in the community. Seriously, you are totally correct. Physics is about stuff that works and agrees with experiment. People whose reputation is built on models that do not work and do not agree with experiment are not brilliant physicists whatever other qualities they may have. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to recalibrate their BS detectors.

If a mathematician came up with 12 original ideas to prove the Riemann hypothesis, none of which were obviously wrong, I think a lot of people would call that mathematician brilliant, whether or not the proofs actually worked out.

physics is not an intellectual game of abstract brilliance. physics is about understanding nature. there is a very definite line between true and false and this is experiment. a theoretical concept, however brilliant it might seem, is just plain wrong if disproven. it might still serve as advice for future generations how one can fail. but that is it.

How does a "far left" democrat get elected in Montana? Either he's brilliant, independent or one hell of a con-man. The democrats owe it to their party to let all comers run this presidential cycle. No one should be anointed! Hillary must stand on her own two feet and fight for the nomination. How about the diversity in the democratic party? Who would believe Obama,Brian and Hillary all under one tent! 2ff7e9595c
